Ceiling Height for Home office light fixtures

Low Ceilings: Rooms with ceilings of 8 feet or less benefit from flush-mount or semi-flush-mount fixtures. These options sit close to the ceiling, maximizing space and are available in various styles and sizes to suit your preferences.

High Ceilings: High ceilings start from 9 feet and allow for more light! Consider pendant lights or chandeliers to add visual interest and fill the vertical space, ensuring your choice complements the room’s proportions.

And remember my friends, sometimes bigger is better! Below are some of my favorites, I specially love the bubble chandelier from Amazon because its affordable and reminds me of clouds which can help create a more relaxed office space to increase productivity.

Awkward Ceilings?

If your office has sloped or vaulted ceilings, opt for adjustable fixtures like track lighting or pendant lights. These can adapt to the angle of the ceiling, providing versatile illumination for different tasks.

For standard Straight Walls: Standard fixtures like ceiling-mounted lights or wall sconces are suitable for straight walls. Upward-Facing Sconces: Bounce light off the ceiling for ambient illumination. While, Downward-Facing: Illuminate specific areas or create a cozy corner.

I recently purchase this chargeable linear modern black sconce set from Amazon and I absolutely love them because you have different placement options! Personally, with the brick walls in my home it was very tricky to stick them since the wall was uneven and full of texture. Eventually, we found a removable adhesive that supported the sconce weight and their still up and running! See my sconce set here!
